FAQ - Paper Cups

Q:    What types of Cups can we get?

A:

  • Paper Cups are mainly classified into Single Layer and Double Layer.

  • Glossy Finishing or Matt Finishing.

Q: How to choose the right Paper Cup? What should I consider?

A:

  • Volume of the Drink:

You need to consider how big the cup should be. In Beease, we have 3/8/10/12/16/24oz Paper Cups for your consideration, and 1oz is approximately equal to 30ml.

  • Temperature of the Liquid:

If you are going to put Hot Tea or Hot Coffee into the Paper Cups, a Paper Cup with Double Layer will be suggested.

  • Feeling of Hand Gripping:

If you want to enhance your brand image by providing a Stiff and Firm feeling to your customers, Double Layer will be a good choice.

  • For Cold Drink: (Double Side PE Coated)

Cold Drink will cool down the Paper, therefore water in Air will be condensed and Stay on the Paper Surface. If you use Single Wall Cup, the Cup will become softer after 1 hour because Water was absorbed by the un-coated paper. As view of this, you should use a Paper Cup with double side PE quoted, this thin PE layer will help repelling water and prevent the Paper from absorbing the water, hence, the cup can be used for 4 hours without being softened.

Q: Why do I need to pay for a sample before Mass Production of my Order?

A:

Printing Equipment of Industrial Level is a totally different concept than the Ink-Jet Printer in your Office/Home, besides, Customer should not expect they are going to get the same color and resolution as what they can see from the Monitor or a printed paper from their Printer.

Printing Process at a industrial level involved a lot of manual adjustment to against the influence of below factors:

  1. Temperature and Humidity.

  2. Uncontrollable distribution of the force of the Printing Roller.

  3. Uncontrollable Ink Concentration on the Printing Roller.

  4. Printing Substrate. You will get a different color on a Pure White Paper than a Yellowish Paper Card

Therefore, customer should always request a MOCK UP to get a general feeling of what they are going to see from the Mass Production, also using the Mock up as a tool for communication on trimming, in order to get close to what the customer expect from the Mass Production.

Q: Is the Paper Cup sample showing exactly what I can get from the Mass Production?

A:

NO! Due to the Machine Difference, the resolution and positional accuracy of the SMALL MACHINE (for Sample making) is weaker than the Big Machine. Images are Blur in the Small Machine while they will become Sharper in the Big Machine.

Customer should use the Sample Cup for below purpose:

  1. Checking the Artwork Position and Shapes.

  2. Getting a General Feeling of the final Output and see if you want to do any chances to improve the overall visual effect.

  3. Water and Temperature Testing.

Q: Should Color Variation be accepted?

A:

It depends on the level of Color Variation. The Industrial Standard is +/- 15%. Mostly, Color will be either lighter or darker, this phenomenon will be seen especially when the Printing roller is almost running out of Ink (Lighter) or being filled with new Ink. (Darker).

The Color will not be able to be the same among the whole batch of production. And customer need to consider this and accept before confirming the Order.
